PopChart Server User Guide 4.0.5

Requirements

• Two or more PopChart Server Enterprise systems on the same network.
• Applications must be developed using either the Java, COM, or .NET version of the PopChart Embedder.
• So that all of the servers have access to the same data and appearance files, your PopChart document root directory must be mirrored on all of the servers.

Note: Another option would be to have all the servers use a shared document root directory. If you are using a shared directory, though, be sure that the shared folder resides on a high redundancy server, as a failure here would undermine the redundancy of PopChart Server.

• We strongly recommend that the servers be configured exactly the same. If you make changes to one server, you should make those changes to all of your servers.

You may even want to copy the following files from the config directory of a properly configured server to the config directory for other your other servers to make sure that the servers are all configured properly: pcagent.cfg, pccolors.xml, dlink.xml, table.xml, and path.xml.
