Known Issues
The following is a list of known issues with PopChart Server on various platforms.
General
- If your default Java VM is version 1.4 and you view the HTML version of the documentation, you will be unable to scroll the table of contents pane if you expand a tree that is larger than the size of the pane.
- You will get poor results when you overlap imported images with graph objects if you are generating a PDF or EPS image.
- In some instances, the PopChart installer will not run when your display resolution is set to 16 colors. Change your resolution to 256 colors or higher.
- Because of a bug in Macromedia's Flash Player, objects that stretch too far outside of the appearance file (typically at a distance greater than 1000 pixels) cannot be displayed correctly.
Windows
- ColdFusion MX currently does not allow access to the component object model. This is apparantly a bug in ColdFusion. Because of it, the COM version of the PopChart Embedder will not work with ColdFusion MX. You should use the Java version instead.
Mac OS X
- PopChart Server will quit when a user logs out, even if you have chosen a Production install. Apple is aware of this bug, and will address it in the future.
- When you double-click on an appearance (.pcxml) file, it will launch PopChart Builder, but PopChart Builder will not open to the file. It will, however, open to the file if you double-click the file again. Apple is aware of this bug, and will address it in the future.
