Saying that your product supports XML can be a very ambiguous statement. There are hundreds of thousands of XML document types, each with a different purpose. Thus, it is important to know what exactly "XML support" means.
PopChart Server supports XML in two ways:
PopChart XML (PCXML) is an XML document type capable of describing every aspect of a PopChart, including its appearance and data. All of your appearance files are saved in PopChart XML. You can also send PopChart XML to PopChart Server when you request a PopChart image. This allows you to dynamically change the appearance of your graph, as well as set its data.
Most databases are capable of exporting data in a standard XML data format. PopChart Server can import XML data in this format. This format is entirely different from PopChart XML. For information on importing XML data into a PopChart, refer to "Importing Data from Data Files" on page 6-16.
