Chapter 10
This chapter discusses the use of PopChart XML. PopChart XML (PCXML) is a new XML (eXtended Markup Language) format that allows you to control all aspects of a PopChart, including its appearance and data.
If you've been reading this manual thoroughly, you've probably caught on to many aspects of PopChart XML. In Chapter 6 we discussed how you could use it to send dynamic data to PopChart Server. In Chapter 7 we showed how you could use it to add special effects to your graph.
This chapter simply conceptualizes a lot of things that you've already been doing throughout this documentation. It will discuss some of the key concepts of PopChart XML. It first of all offers you a basic Introduction to the PCXML Format. Then it introduces and discusses three main ways that you can use PopChart XML. These uses are as follows:
Important: This section assumes you are at least somewhat comfortable using XML. If that is not the case, please refer to "XML Notations and Conventions" in Chapter 1 of the PopChart Server Reference manual for a brief overview of XML.
