After the installer has finished copying the necessary files, it will ask you for some user information. You should enter the name of the individual and/or company to which your product is licensed to. You should also enter the license key for PopChart Server and/or PopChart Builder in the appropriate text box(es).
Warning: If you are evaluating PopChart Server or PopChart Builder, do not enter anything in the license key boxes. An evaluation key will be generated automatically for you (refer to "Evaluating PopChart Products").
Note: Your license will determine which edition (e.g. PopChart Server Enterprise, PopChart Server Pro) of PopChart Server you can run.
When you purchase PopChart Server, you should receive a license key. If you did not, you should inquire about it with the vendor who sold you PopChart Server.
If you do not have a license key, you can purchase one from Corda Technologies. Visit http://www.corda.com/purchase.cfm for more information.
Note: If you do not have the license key immediately available, or if you are evaluating PopChart Server, you can enter your license key later following the steps outlined in "Entering a New License Key" in Chapter 3.
Once you have finished entering your license key, click Next to continue.
If you are evaluating PopChart Server and/or PopChart Builder, the installer will generate an evaluation key automatically for you. You will be able to run evaluation versions of PopChart Server and/or PopChart Builder with the following restrictions:
This license key will last 15 days. At the end of 15 days, PopChart Server and PopChart Builder will run in an unlicensed mode, meaning you cannot save or preview appearance files in PopChart Builder, and PopChart Server will shut down every three hours.
Extended time evaluation license keys are available upon request. Visit http://www.corda.com/support for details.
To remove these restrictions, simply purchase a license from Corda Technologies.
When you buy a license key, you do not need to reinstall PopChart Server. Simply enter your new license key following the steps outlined in "Entering a New License Key" in Chapter 3, and the evaluation restrictions will be removed.
